UNCHAINING MARY OF MAGDALA
I have come to realize that the reality we experience of this world is whatever we choose it to be. If you love a person, you will want to see the best of them, even when the entire world says they are the Anti-Christ.
Mary of Magdala has all through the course of history been bearing the cross of patience and sacrifice. Maybe it is time we unchain her ‘just a little’.
It is funny how everyone knows about the sacrifice of Yahushua, and only few know about the sacrifice of the Magdala lady.
She was one of the cornerstones of Yahushua’s ministry. She loved Yahushua to the depth; in return for the infinite love, patience and unbounded absolvitory of Yahushua.
You only begin to see a quantum speckle of the infinite nature of the love Yahushua had for Mary Magdalene, when out of the host of self-important ‘patriarchal throng’ (including the ones that sold him and the ones that betrayed him), the very first person he revealed himself to was the grief stricken, tear clouded Lady of Magdala.
Since Christ’s ascension, Mary of Magdala has devotedly gone through the oppressive hands of some self -acclaimed Alpha Male pricks (Excuse the language, but dwell on the Pun).
All through society, in a thousand and one ways, these self-acclaimed Alpha Male Pricks (AMP), have dealt with Mary, even as she waits for the return of her one true love, Yahushua.
In offices, as bosses, as colleagues, as family heads, as ‘whatever’ form they show themselves, many of these AMP only want to ravish the essence of Mary and stab her many times to death and nothingness.
Mary dies, they laugh in cruelty, they rape and pillage Mary when they have the chance, they manipulate and oppress her when she resolves to remain in her tranquil prison cell.
Mary dies in a million ways and forms. Sometimes, Mary revolts and take up arms in the form of Jezebel or Cleopatra, but this only causes carnage and death in the Millions. Through all these, the AMP remains oblivious to the suffering, screams and heart-wrenching painful results of their stabbings and oppressions. They say to themselves, the AMPs, “we remain a ‘god on earth’, this dominion shall be ours, the serpent said it so.”
But patiently, in the shadows, with flickering candle like hope, lies Mary of Magdala, waiting for the return of her one true love, Yahushua of the Universe.
Today, I cannot unchain Mary, only Yahushua can, I only pray He gives me the grace, resources and lifetime to brighten and gladden my Lady of Magdala’s heart as we both patiently await the glorious and much awaited return of Yahushua of the Universe.
