TESLA INERTIA — JOURNEY TO HUMANOID ROBOTS
Elon Musk’s company, Tesla, recently announced their effort in creating a sentient humanoid in their recently held AI Day.
What does Tesla calling itself a robotics company mean?
It means beyond self-driving cars (which is a form of robotics) they want to go into the business of automation fully, even the automation of humans.
Humanoid robots have long been a pursuit for many companies and crazy scientist, but I think Tesla’s effort will make a huge difference.
The intersection of Elon Musk’s other companies, SpacesX, NeuralLink and Boring company, gives Tesla’s humanoid robotic effort a motive and ready environment for application.
As AI accelerates, robots will continue to get better at human experiences such as run faster, see farther, hear better, feel stronger, taste finer etc.
What does this leave for us humans? It leaves us to ask bigger questions of ourselves and our purpose.
Kudos to Elon Musk and the Tesla team. It may seem mundane, but a little inertia as they have set can do a lot to create a great Momentum for humanity’s next era.
I talked a great deal about AI and its effect on the future in this book. 2020s & The Future Beyond.
